Lacy is a 20-year-old current content creator who has been able to make a name for himself in the Fortnite scene. He started as an average Fortnite player, much stronger than the average player, but despite this, he never managed to make that leap in quality.

Knowing that gaming was what he wanted to do, Lacy used his other talent of making people laugh to his advantage. He started streaming a little over a year ago and initially streamed for hours with no viewers. However, he started playing with some good-sized creators, Ripraraa and Jivi, and their communities liked him enough to the point where after a month or two, he was averaging around 30 viewers on Twitch.
In December of 2022, Lacy started donating bits to one of his favorite streamers, Clix, and trolling him on stream. He would make fun of things like how he got cheated on, how he hasn’t won an FNCS, and just messed with him until the point where Clix one day invited him to his Fortnite lobby. They started yelling at each other, and this clip went viral on YouTube and TikTok, pulling in over 5 million combined views between their channels.
After talking off stream, Clix saw real potential in Lacy as a content creator and took him under his wing. Since then, they have made hundreds of videos together, racking in tens of millions of views. Lacy and Clix both decided to move to Texas separately to take advantage of the combination of NAE and NAW servers and to pursue making better content.
Interview
Andrea: How were you introduced to Fortnite and what motivated you to start playing competitively?
Lacy: "I was introduced to Fortnite by a friend in school when it first came out and i started playing on my console. I stopped for a while and picked it back up over covid when i got my first pc and started to play custom matches in a discord server called Atlantic scrims and enjoyed it so much that i started competing in events. "
Andrea: What do you believe sets your content apart from other Fortnite creators, and what do you think has contributed to your success?
Lacy: "I think what sets my content apart from other Fortnite creators is my personality. Most of the people in the Fortnite scene are watched because they are a professional and people want to watch them to get better but people watch me because they enjoy my content and funny moments. An obvious part that contributed to my success is the help from Clix but he has given many other people opportunities and they haven’t done anything with it because they are simply just not entertaining enough to form their own community."
Andrea: What advice would you give to those who are just starting out in content creation, and what do you think are the most important qualities for success in this field?
Lacy: "Advice that i would give to someone just starting out making content is to be unique and do something different from everyone else and heavily use tik tok. If you make funny videos from your stream and post them on tik tok people will see them and if it’s engaging enough, they will come to your stream. I think it’s very hard to make it in content creation now a days because of how many creators there are and one of the main things to focus on is surrounding yourself with other creators of your size or bigger and helping each other make content to expand your brand."
Andrea: What challenges have you faced as a content creator, and how have you overcome them?
Lacy: "With how fast i have gained my following i have went through a good amount of challenges. The main challenge i’ve faced is being thrown into everything i had no idea how to deal with hate so once i started getting hate comments on my stream or tik tok comments i had no idea how to handle it. I still haven’t quite overcome this challenge but i know in time i will."
Andrea: What are your plans and goals for your content creation in the future?
Lacy: "My plans and goals for the future are to continue to play Fortnite until it’s not fun to me anymore and then expand my content into things people have never seen before. I look up to creators like Adin Ross and Kai Cenat because of how different the things they do on stream are from other creators and i want to be at that level with my content some day."
